Gene Rodman

Controller


Gene combines a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree and Certified General Accountant designation with more than a decade of aviation specific experience. Through his eleven years at WestJet, Gene gained a wide breadth of knowledge and experience including hands-on and leadership experience in historical and forecast financial controls and reporting.


He has expertise in the detailed workings of Aircraft Leasing, Flight Operations, Information Technology, Jet Fuel, Maintenance and Procurement. In addition, he has experience with system administration and a variety of capital and process improvement projects.

Gene and his team are responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures necessary to help achieve corporate goals and objectives and for producing timely financial reporting to assist all stakeholders with making wise and knowledgeable business decisions. Gene was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, where he currently resides.
